The angel Gabriel appeared to Zechariah
Bringing forth a message from the Lord,
“Your wife Elizabeth will give birth to a Son”, The bearer of good news said
And Elizabeth became pregnant
For the lord had looked to her with favor
The angel Gabriel was sent to a virgin named Mary
The one who had been set apart for the Lord’s glory
“Rejoice favored woman, for the Lord is with you” the angel said
You will conceive and give birth to a Son
For the Holy Spirit will overshadow you
And the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God
And I, the messenger of the Lord say to you
Rejoice oh! You favored congregation
For the Lord is with you, He is with me
What a wonderful surprise!
Have you been wanting for a child?
Have you set yourself apart?
The Holy Spirit will come over you,
He will conceive in you.
To conceive is to devise a plan, to become pregnant
From this intimacy, you will give birth to what God has planned for you
And the child which you will birth will be called the Son of God
For nothing will be impossible with our God!
She who has believed is blessed because what was spoken to her by the Lord will be fulfilled.
